Super B-Complex
Methylated B-vitamins optimised for bioavailability
Super B-Complex provides full spectrum high strength B-vitamins and vitamin C in pre-activated forms that the body absorbs and utilises easily. Did you know that biotin exists in eight forms but only D-biotin has cofactor activity? Each ingredient has been selected for optimum absorption and biological activity, including folate (we use the Quatrefolic form of methyltetrahydrofolate), methylcobalamin (B12) and pyridoxal-5-phosphate (B6).
- Igennus nutrition scientists have formulated this supplement to provide effective, meaningful doses
- Daily supplementation is designed to meet recommended intakes but well within safe levels below the upper tolerable limits (UTLs) to prevent risk of side effects or mask other deficiencies
- Particular focus has been placed on the doses of vitamins B6, B12 and folate, which are provided at levels proven to maintain homocysteine levels
- Regulating homocysteine levels thereby supports the folate, methylation and transsulfuration cycles
- Split dosing optimises vitamins B12 and C uptake to ensure they are used by the body effectively, and sustained-release delivery assures longer-lasting action

What it does | Form we've chosen | Why it's optimal | Daily dose (2 tablets) | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Vitamin B1 | ||||
Vitamin B2 | Riboflavin contributes to: normal energy-yielding metabolism; normal functioning of the nervous system; the maintenance of normal red blood cells; the protection of cells from oxidative stress; the reduction of tiredness and fatigue | Riboflavin-5-phosphate | Riboflavin must first be converted to riboflavin-5-phosphate to be utilised. We use the form that’s instantly ready for the body to use | 14 mg |
>td >300 µg>td >900 µg>td >160 mg
Vitamin B3 | Niacin contributes to: normal energy-yielding metabolism; normal functioning of the nervous system; normal psychological function; the maintenance of normal mucous membranes; the maintenance of normal skin; the reduction of tiredness and fatigue | Nicotinamide | Some individuals are sensitive to taking niacin and may experience ‘niacin flush’, whereby the small blood vessels in the skin dilate, which may feel like slight itchiness or burning. We use a non-flushing form of niacin | 48 mg |

Vitamin B5 | Pantothenic acid contributes to: normal energy-yielding metabolism; normal mental performance; normal synthesis and metabolism of steroid hormones, vitamin D and some neurotransmitters; contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue | Calcium D-pantothenate | Pantothenic acid exists as both D and L forms but only D-pantothenic acid is biologically active, while L-pantothenic acid may inhibit the action of the D form | 36 mg |

Folate | Folate contributes to: normal homocysteine metabolism; normal psychological function; the process of cell division. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor for the development of neuronal tube defects in the developing foetus | [6S]-5-methyltetrahydrofolate as Quatrefolic | Provides the body-ready form of folate which is better absorbed than folic acid and avoids undesirable accumulation in those with the MTHFR genetic mutation | 400 µg |
Vitamin B12 | Vitamin B12 contributes to: normal energy-yielding metabolism; normal functioning of the nervous system; normal homocysteine metabolism; normal function of the immune system; the reduction of tiredness and fatigue | Methylcobalamin | ||

Premium, effective & well tolerated ingredientsWe source only the highest quality raw ingredients, proven to be safe, effective and well tolerated. To ensure our supplements really work, we focus on the best quality forms of ingredients, prioritising bioavailability and using nutrients at levels scientifically proven to provide demonstrable benefits to health.
| Pharmaceutical-grade UK manufactured food supplementsYou might wonder why we emphasise that our products are ‘pharmaceutical-grade’ when we also value the importance of buying natural products. We use UK facilities that manufacture in compliance with strict and stringent GMP (good manufacturing practices) – quality standards that pharmaceutical manufacturers must meet in their production processes to ensure products are of consistent high quality that you can trust 100%. We are proud suppliers of healthcare practitioners, private clinics and hospitals. | Why supplement?Are supplements essential? No, not if you eat seasonal, local and freshly prepared food, your sleep is regularly deep and refreshing and you experience little or no stress. These are the foundations of great health. Should diet provide most of your nutrition? Absolutely. Do bioavailable nutrition supplements play a role in filling in the gaps? We believe so – but only if you’re taking the right forms of active ingredients, otherwise your body will excrete much of it (best case scenario) or your body may even accumulate unmetabolised nutrients and you’ll disrupt homeostasis – you don’t want this. When it comes to supplements and dosing, it’s quality over quantity – and always check with a qualified professional if you have any questions. Igennus nutritionists are available for any questions about our products. | Health benefitsThe B-vitamins included in this formula contribute to:
